Nuad (Nuad Bo Ruan, Thai Yoga Massage, thai Bodywork) is a system of body massage and manipulations originating in the Bhuddhist Monasteries of thailand. Nuad aims to free the person of blockages in the flow of life energy "Lom" along energy canals "Sen", it does this by pressing , stretching, pulling, rotating, lifting, twisting using hands, feet, elbows, knees, to help the body return to its natural state. However it may seem a purely physical activity, it is in fact a spiritual offering springing from the Heart. A prayer is always recited by the Giver before every treatment, and the giver attempts to maintain a state of relaxation and openess, percieving themselves as merely a channel for universal wisdom. Our practitioner has trained in the UK, thailand and Italy in addition to being a clinical massage intern at a rural hospital in Thailand and teaching in a clinic for therapeutic massage by the blind in Chiang mai, thailand.
